Allianz Real Estate’s mainBuilding asset in Frankfurt awarded gold certifications for sustainable construction and connectivity

The mainBuilding Taunusanlage, a 37,000 sqm office complex in the banking district of Frankfurt, which is owned by several Allianz insurance companies, has been awarded the highest ‘gold’ rating by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB e.V.). The asset is one of the first buildings in Germany to be achieve this new certification by the DGNB, which has been certifying the quality of sustainable construction since 2009.
In addition, the complex received a further gold certification from WiredScore – a commercial real estate rating system that enables owners to understand and improve the digital infrastructure of their buildings. The certification noted that the mainBuilding Taunusanlage offers excellent connectivity and transparency and emphasized the access for up to six network providers via DSL, coaxial or fiber optic cables.
